Little Monster at 16 months

Oh where do I begin…..Ava is a crazy girl at this age. She is getting into everything & has such a strong personality. Ryan & I definitely have our hands full.

New with Ava:

She can open doors, the dishwasher, oven, bbq grill & even tries to mess with the oven & grill knobs.
Will unroll all the toilet paper if she has the opportunity.
Chases the dogs around the house & will even hit them.
If we are outside & she is not ready to come in, we will have to chase her & carry her in.
Has her heading shaking down for yes & no.
When finished eating will pull off her bib.
Has become a picky little eater.
Has started to hide when using the restroom or will pull out her changing pad for you to change her.
- we bought a potty for her to get familiar with
Loves to play in her blow up pool & loves the water. Not scared at all.
Loves to go to the play ground and swing. We have to trick her into leaving.
Has started gymnastics (Mommy & tot) once a week
Has allergies & takes Claritin as needed
Loves listening to her Musical CD in the car
- will dance
Sleeping 12 hours a night
Takes 3 hour naps on the weekends
Wearing size 18 months
I cut her bangs. She refuses to wear a bow & her hair was starting to get in her face. Poor baby has a full blown mullet now.

Wonderful News

Ava will have a cousin soon!!!! I'm so extremely excited for my brother & Katon. Little baby girl will be here September 18, 2012. Friday after the gender ultra sound I took Gabe & Katon to Babies R Us to pick out an outfit each. Then I bought a couple super cute onies. My favorites are "My Aunts Rocks" & "My auntie loves me." You better believe I'm going to spoil this little girl as if she were my own. I swear the next best thing to having your our children, is becoming/being an aunt.

Easter Weekend

Ava & I spent a long extended weekend with my family (Ryan was in Louisiana playing in a golf tournament). We got in plenty of family time. Good Friday we went to my aunts annual crawfish boil & Saturday we celebrated Easter at my other aunts annual Easter Party. Ava & I both had a great weekend! This was the 1st holiday I compared to last year. My sweet baby was no more then 3 months old & bald then. This year she was running around, hunting for eggs & has a mullet.

Zoo

Mom & I took Ava to the zoo. The weather was perfect, Ava slept the whole way there, but there were school kids every-where. Note to self: NEVER go to the zoo on a weekday between 9-2. Parking was horrible. The darn buses took up so much parking. Ugh! Once we were finally in the zoo we all had so much fun though. Ava is at the age where she loves to look at bigger kids and loved pointing at all the animals. She especially loved the bird section and the carousel. She even threw a fit once she got off the carousel.
We will definitely be visiting again soon.

Wonderful Weekend

Ava had her 15 month check up Friday afternoon. I wont go into too much detail, but it sure isn't getting any easier. I swear she remember the office and starts to cling to me before the nurse even gets in the room. After her routine check up and 2 shots, I was informed Ava was right on track. She is still above average on all her stats (will post).
Saturday Ava and I went to a trial mommy & tot gymnastic class. Ava loved it! I'm definitely going to sign her up. We have one more gym to check out this month, then we'll decided between the two. I hope to have her enrolled in May. The rest of the weekend was dedicated to shopping, the park, her blow up pool & watching daddy grill.

Also.....no more bottle! Ava had her last night time bottle Saturday. Sunday night we gave her a sippy cup. She never even noticed the change.
