Slow Your "Roll" Nathan
Last night Nathan rolled over in his crib after I laid him down for the night. I turned him over and thought it was a 1 time thing. Then this mornig after I fed him & got him ready for the day, I laid him on his activity mat. Then next thing we notice is he rolled over from back to belly. So I laid him back on his back and what do you know....he did it again. I can not beleive he is rolling already! He need to slow down.....

1st Day Back at Work & 1st Day for Nathan at Daycare
We made it through the 1st day!!!
My morning started at 4:45. I had an hour to get ready and
prep for the day (make bottles, breakfast, etc.). I woke Nathan up at 5:45. I
felt so bad waking him up so early, but I wanted to feed him and get him
dressed. I was finished with him about 6 and woke up Ava next. Luckily she woke
up in a good mood. I got Ava dress and ready for breakfast. By this time Ryan
was showered and took over kid duty. I kissed everyone good bye and was out the
door. I thought I was going to hit traffic, but I made great time to work only
because it summer time. Once at work the day flew by. I enjoyed being back and
seeing all my co-workers. I was also informed my role would change from
Business Improvement Analyst to Master Data Team Lead (this is my 5th
role change with COP). I’m excited for my new responsibilities. I will be the lead
for a small group of 3. I will manage all internal/external audit request, security
roles, metrics for my BU, back up for the Dodd Frank Role and any small
projects.
Throughout the day I constantly checked on Nathan on the daycare
cam. For the most part he rotated from activity center, bouncer, swing, floor mat and crib. Only
once I could tell he was crying by the way he was moving his legs and arms.
When I picked him up from daycare they said he was pretty good. He did cry, but it’s a given the 1st week any baby starts
daycare. They are used to being held a lot (absolutely true for Nathan). They
kept him on schedule with his feeds, but poor baby didn’t sleep that much. On
the way home the knocked out and slept more when we got home. I was able to
clean up the house a tad and prep for the kids the next day. After dinner it was
bath and bed for Nathan. He was out by 7:30 and only woke up once about 3 for a
4oz feeding.
I plan to help Ryan with morning duty. The traffic won’t be that bad for
a few weeks so I can leave the house at 6:15 and get to work by 7, but once
school is back in session Ryan will be solo in the mornings.
Best Girlfriends Ever
I spent my last weekend before going back to work…not
shopping for work clothes, not getting a much needed mani & pedi, not
planning our dinners for the week, but with my best girlfriends. It was a much
needed break away from being a wife and mother. We enjoyed Nicole’s pool, some
cocktails, pizza, a movie AND in bed by midnight. Between the 5 of us we have 6
kids so it was heaven to enjoy a day not worrying about the next feeding, fixing
dinner, bath or bedtime. I really enjoyed
my full night rest and quality time with my BF’s. It’s just what this
mama needed!

Nathan 4 Month Check Up
Weight: 18lbs 3oz (97%)
Height: 25inches (77%)
Head: 17 inches (96%)
Check Up: He got 2 shots & oral at 4 month check-up. He
didn’t even cry for the 1st shot and in no time was calm from the 2nd
shot
About Nathan: I swear he thinks he is a big boy. He doesn’t like
laying on the floor. He’d rather be in his bumbo, boppy, highchair or held so
he can see everything. He even tries to sit up in his car seat. He LOVES his
big sister. He likes to watch her play and will even stop fussing when she talks
to him. He LOVES his mama and will swing his head around looking for me
if he hears my voice. So this was a perfect time to start daycare. As Ryan’s
say, “cut the cord”.

My Last Week as SAHM
I'm sure going to miss this little guy. Our last week has started off a little rough. Nathan has his 1st cold.
School Success
Well that didn't take long....
Ava came home from school so happy. She was so excited to tell me all about her day. Her teachers said it was like she never left. She jumped right back into the daily routine.

Ava Back at School
Today was Ava's 1st day back at school. We decided to start her a week earlier than Nathan and I returning to work. We think she will have the biggest issue adjusting.
...and we were so right! This morning when we work her up the first thing she said was, "I don't want to go to school. I want to stay home with you". Break my heart :( But I know it's for the best.
