Ava's Horse Lesson
All Ava wanted for Christmas and her Birthday
was a horse. Well there was no chance that was happening, so we took her to Bay
Area Equestrian Center for a Foundation Lesson. They showed her everything
about a horse from how to brush it, clean the hoofs, put on saddle, approach
it, walk it, talk to it and eventually ride it. Ava was in her element. She was
all about the horse and didn’t pay much attention to us. Since they do not offer Horse
Riding Lesson until age 6 we will keep Ava in the Foundation Classes every
other month

Ava's Birthday Celebration
This day was the most difficult. My grandmother had passed the night before at 9:52pm, but I didnt want Ava to think she did something wrong to not have a Birthday Party. So we had a small celebration with the kids on my moms' side of the family. Ava enjoyed it and if only for a little bit, it kept our minds off the terrible loss of my grandmother.

Christmas 2014
Christmas morning was bittersweet. I was excited to see my kids’
faces on Christmas morning and how thrilled they would be about their gifts,
but I was sad about my grandmother.
They took her off the breathing tube at 6pm Christmas Eve.
My dad was at the hospital all night. He never slept that night and returned
home about 8am to see the kids unwrap gifts. He rested most the day and heading
back to the hospital that afternoon. We all had my grandmother on our minds.

Holly Dropped off a Special Christmas Eve Gift
This Christmas was a sober one. My grandmother
was in the hospital so the annual Christmas Festivities took a back seat as we were way
more concerned about her condition. So Christmas Eve Morning Holly the Elf had a
present for Ava. It was pj's and a Movie (Sleeping Beauty out of the Disney
Vault) to watch Christmas Eve
Ava and Grandpa
My grandfather is always intown for Christmas.
Ava was so excited to show him how to spell her name and he was just as excited to watch her.
School Birthday Celebration
This year Ava was so excited about her birthday. She kept
asking about it. She also stated how she wanted cupcakes, goodie bags, presents
and a piñata. Her 1st celebration was at school. She wanted a "Puppy" theme. So I brought up cupcakes, juice and goodie bags. The kids sang her Happy Birthday. She loved every minute of it.

Cold - 3 Nixon Family - 1
The Cold season got the best of us. First Nathan got sick.
Then it was inevitably I was next. Shortly after Ryan caught a slight cold. We
sent Ava to my parents for the weekend to stay away from the germs. Luckily it
work! However, Nathan ended up with a double ear infection and I completely
lost my voice for 2 days.

Emma's 4th Birthday Party
We celebrated Emma's Frozen Themed 4th Birthday Party. The trio (Emma, Ava, and Annabelle) had a blast. Ava was worn out from jumping in the bounce house and running around like a crazy girls. It was lights out early for her.

Nixon Family Christmas
This Christmas was a little more special. Silly Grandpa brought a girl....not just any girl. His
Fiance! Yes.....Fiance: Teresa. She is a very sweet lady. We can see she makes Silly Grandpa very Happy. Therefore, we are VERY Happy for our new addition to the Nixon Family. They will be wed early next year.
Nathan was a little under the weather so he went to bed super early while we all stayed up opening gifts and enjoying each others company.
Ivy Christmas Program
Ava's Christmas Program was too cute!! She is one silly, absolutely
not shy little girl. She was in the 1st row belting out Christmas songs.

My Off Fridays are aways full or errands and "to do's". Sometimes I keep Ava with me and we run around then meet dad for lunch. Other Friday's we pick up donuts and have a breakfast date.
