LP Mardi Gras Fun

My home town hosted their 1st Annual Mardi Gras Party on Main Street. I have to say it was a HIT. My dad, Ryan, Ava and I really enjoyed ourselves. Nathan and Mimi stayed home. They closed down the street from 4-9 and had everything Mardi Gras from a Jazz Band, throwing beads, a fire act, face painting, balloon making, character drawings, and King/Queen of Mardi Gras. PLUS a beer garden (with like 7 breweries), wine tasting, crawfish, food trucks and vendors of all sorts. I REALLY hope this event continues. It will be a family function every year.

Blessington Farms

It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon for strawberry picking, BUT they ran out. How the heck does that happen?!? Anyhow Ava still had fun while we all watched.
Looks like we will stick to strawberry picking at Frogbergs. Plus they have a farmers market and smokehouse.

Little Valentines

The kiddos woke up to Valentine gifts at the table, but Mimi and Gramps sure out did us that afternoon. They bought Ava the $25 Cheetah she had been begging for from Toys R Us (I refused to buy it) and plenty of snacks. Nathan got a cute kitty too, but that's what grandparents are for!!!

25th Wedding Anniversary

My second cousins Eddie (also my god-brother) & Cindy celebrated their 25th Wedding Anniversary. I remember their wedding, so this was special to celebrate with them and be married. They truly are an inspiration to marriage. I hope one day Ryan and I will be celebrating out 25 years of marriage.
It was a great weekend full of family on my mom's side. They all met Nathan for the 1st time and Ava enjoyed herself. She danced so much she actually wanted to leave the party early because she was tired.
