Oh Timmy....we need to stop comparing you to Teddy. We all loved him deeply and still miss him. You have tried your best to fill his spot. I know with time it will happen. As of now you are in a puppy phase and cray cray. Hopefully getting you fixed will calm you down.

Last Few Friday's Together

Summer is 1/2 way over. My little girl will be in school soon so I'm cherishing my Friday's off with her. She goes to school until 11 since she has splash pad and dance. I get my long run in and any errands out of the way. Then its all Ava and Mommy time.

Hip Hop Dance

Ava started Hip Hop Dance at Ivy. I'm hoping this will enhance her rhythm. When she dances now its a mix between karate and being in a mosh pit.

Fathers Day 2016

We spent Saturday in LP with my family. My dad cooked 2 briskets and we had family over. Sunday morning we went to the movies to see Ninja Turtles. Nathan slept through most the movie and was a little fussy (later determined he had an ear infection). Once back at home we spent quality time with Ryan. He cooked our favorite meal steak and fish. He is so good to us!  He is an amazing Father and it makes me love him more and more. I love the family man he has become and look forward to spending the rest of my life with him.

Fathers Day Ivy Gifts

Swim Lessons

Ava has been in private swim with Coach Lauren for about 3 weeks now. We were going to put Nathan in but he was sick then his hand was swollen from ant bits plus he is clingy and I'd probably have to be in the pool with him. We "may" try lessons for him late summer. So he just plays while Ava swims her booty off for 30 minutes.

Now Ava is exceling!! She is so brave. She is already diving down to retrieve objects, swimming across the pool, driving in and learning swim techniques. 

Nixon Family Vacation

This vacation was way over due. We get here and never leave the property. Well the guys play a round of golf...There is so much to do!! Between the amazing pool, lazing river, pool bar, and movie theater its an amazing stay-cation. I hate Galveston but love to hear the ocean and Diamond Beach is right across the street.

We enjoyed great family time in the sun and evenings on the patio.

Big Boy Bed Follow Up

Nathans transition to the big boy bed has been interesting. He goes down somewhat easy. He may sneak out if he is not really tired or hears his sister, but for the most part going to bed is fine. It’s staying in his bed that is our struggle. If he wakes in the middle of the night he will come to our room and climb in bed with his. We know he is on his way because he slams his door shut, we hear the patter of his feet, then he climbs onto the foot bench at the end of the bed and snuggles with me. There is no set time. Somedays its 11pm, 1am or 5am. As long as he starts off in his bed and gives Ryan and I time to get ready for bed and unwind I’m fine. I don’t think it’s a problem. I know he will only be little for so long. I will enjoy his snuggles while I can. Since Ava is out of our bed this is his time to enjoy it.

Connor turns 6

While I was away Ryan pulled fulltime duty at home with the kids. He took the kids to Connor's 6th birthday party. They had a blast!

Girls Weekend 2016

I had a much needed Mama break (weekend) with my girlfriends. We may not talk daily or even weekly, but our friendship is strong. Life just wouldn't be the same without them. I love them all dearly!!
