Life is GOOD

I can't help but stare at that little face all day. I'm so in LOVE with motherhood and can't image life without Ava. She is a true blessing. I look forward to watching her grow up.

Miss. Ava Rebecca Nixon is here

Was born on Monday December 27th at 5:51pm by c-section at 6lbs1oz & 18 inches.

Ava on her birthday

We went to my scheduled doctor appointment on Monday at 2:30. We had the ultra sound 1st & then Ryan went back to work, while I went back to visit with the doctor. I kind of new something was wrong because the ultra sound tech mentioned my amniotic fluid was still low, plus it took awhile for my doctor to see me...plus a nurse came in and asked when was the last time I ate.

Then finally my doctor walked in to speak with me. The 1st thing she said was today is the day. Your amniotic fluid is very low and we need to take the baby today. I need you to head to the hospital now, you have been scheduled for a c-section for 5:30pm. (I was freaking out!)

As soon as I left I immediately called Ryan to give him the news. He didn't even believe me at 1st. He went home to pack my bag (which I didn't even have packed, just had stuff set aside to pack soon). Then I called my dad to tell him its time & to get over to the hospital fast.

Once I was settled into the hospital, hooked up IV'S, in a hospital gown, and after speaking to my nurse I finally started to calmed down. Ryan showed upped and it was almost go time. The nurse explained the process to him. Ryan & I had a couple of minutes to let it soak in that we were about to be parents.

Then it was go time. It all happened so fast. I was wheeled in, prepped, then Ryan was brought in & they got started. I didn't feel a thing, just held Ryan's hand waiting to see/hear our baby girl for the 1st time.
We have been home since Thursday getting settled in with Ava. We are blessed to have her & look forward to 2011 with our little girl. Its is going to be an AMAZING year. We are so in LOVE with her.
