Big Boy

My handsome hunk-a-chunk is 11 weeks 2 days AND slept ALL Night from 10 to 8. Ava STILL doesn't sleep that well. 

Playtime

My big boy is growing up too fast.  He loves to play on his playmat. 

Working the Fields

Gramps garden is in full bloom. This year he has a little helper. As soon as we get to my parents house Ava can't wait to check out the garden and help Gramps get the vegetables.

Fathers Day Fun

Fathers Day weekend we decided to stay at South Shore Harbor near Kemah. We left Nathan with my parents since he is too little to stay out in the heat. So Ava got plenty of one-on-one time with us. It was very special and much needed. She enjoyed every minute. When we asked her if she missed her brother she touched her thumb and pointer finger together and said, "this much". In other words No. Lol. Silly girl. We told her when he gets older they will have fun together and play all the time. 

On Fathers Day Tito made crawfish and we watch way too much sports (World Cup, Astros, Spurs vs. Heat...and even NASCAR).

It was a great weekend!! Love quality family time with the BEST Fathers in my life. 

Library Time

We are officially library members in Fushear. Ava loved her 1st visit to the library. We even joined in "story time". 

With the summer heat in full force we will visit the library a lot this summer. 

Love? Hate?

Some days I think Teddy loves being Ava's "honey bunny" others I think he hates it.

Nathan is 2 Months

Weight: I bet he is 14lbs

Wears: size 3 and even some 3 to 6

Diaper: size 2

Formula: enfamil newborn

Offer 6oz 1st bottle about 5am- he drinks about 5

Then he wakes up about 8 and I offer 8oz bottle at 8, 12, 4 and last at 8. He drinks anywhere from 6 to 8oz each feeding. Total of about 32oz a day. AKA he is a little chunk!

Health: great! Baby acne has cleared up. No more cradle cap. I'm just monitoring how much he is laying on each side of his head. He has a flat spot on his head, but Peditrican said not to worry. Once he can lift his head, roll, crawl, etc. it will even out on it own. 

Routine: Up about 8. Feeding. Up for about 1:30 to 2 hours (he is so happy and best time to chat). Little cat nap. Up for a little then noon feeding. Play. Nap. Feeding. Long nap. Then pretty much up all evening, a cat nap or 2, bath, bottle, bed about 9. Sleeping through the night VERY Good. Either up at @ 2/3 then 7/8 or does get up until 5ish and up at 7/8.

Connors 4th Birthday

We enjoyed a day with the Hoolahans. Coonor had his 4th birthday party. It was camo theme. I bought both the kids camo attire, but Ryan thought Ava's bathing suit was too revealing. Geez...haha. He didn't like her belly showing. 

We had a great time! The Hoolahans are like family. Coonor was in love with Nathan. He kept wanting to hold him and touch him. He really wants a little brother (hopefully he gets one soon). Ava had a great time playing with all of Connors toys. 

Playdate

Ava and I had a Playdate with our favorite little family. It was also great practice for Ryan to handle Nathan all on his own. Ava and I were in the neighborhood and only gone for a few hours. 

Ryan did good, but Nathan didn't want to go to sleep at his normal time about 9. He stayed up waiting for me to rock him to sleep. What can I say... He LOVES his mama!

My Daily Morning View

I think I'm getting the hang of this stay at home mom stuff (well most days).

The night before I prep for morning breakfast, kids clothes for the day and have a project (coloring book, play dough, puzzles, etc.) waiting for Ava on her little table. 

I get up before the kids and do as much cleaning as possible before they wake up. Nathan is usually up 1st. I get him dressed, put on Frozen soundtrack and start feeding him in the rocking chair. Shortly after Ava will join us and sing to us (my morning view) or work on her project. Then I get Ava ready for the day and we eat breakfast while Nathan relaxes in his swing. 

.... If they happen to wake up before me and I have no time to get ready for the day, we are all in our pajamas a little too long and the house remains a little messy that day. 

Not so Pretty

Why does my pretty little girl like such ugly, scary, not so pretty  things?!?

...,at least we can hand them down to Nathan.
