Ava and Timmy

Ava has not been feeling well. She was diagnosed with strep last week and put on an antibiotic. Then this week caught a terrible cough. Saturday Night she passed out on the couch and Timmy decided to snooze with her. It was just like old times with Teddy. It was so sweet....

Circus

This will be our last trip to the Circus. It's just not the same. It's more acrobatics and stunt show less animals. We stayed long enough to see the Tigers.

Dentist Check Up

Ava:
49 lbs
Shark tooth is what the dentist called her.  She is getting a tooth behind her front baby tooth. We need to work on getting that front tooth out in the next two weeks to allow room for the other tooth. She is also getting her third molar on upper right.
Nathan:
38 lbs
All looks good from what dentist could tell. Nathan kept his jaw clutched most the time.

Sweet Nathan Memories

There is something so special about Nathan. I’m not sure if it’s the bond between a mother and son or knowing that he is  our last baby, but I love him so darn much and cherishing each moment I have with him. I want him to stay this age forever! He is so darn cute. He completes our family.
I want to remember:
How much you love your mama! You look for me all  the time when I’m out of your sight. I have to sneak out to go for runs. Some mornings (mostly Mondays) you will wake up looking for me and cry when you realize I’m gone. Your sister yell’s at you that “Mama’s at work. Stop your crying”.
You will wake up in the middle of the night and walk straight to our room just wanting to be by us. I love your snuggles…until I can’t sleep because you are all over the bed.
You make up cutest little songs. Like “Mama, mama, mama!”, “Timmy Jr where the magic begins (like Disney Jr)”… there are more too
You catch on to songs or your dad’s phases fast. Most times super funny but not always appropriate
You say “I love you mama”
You say, "Where's sis". You call her "honey bunny" because I do.
You have a ton of niknames: Boo Boo, Honey Boo Boo, Nae Nae, Boop Boopy Doopy
Your favorite things:
You still love Mickey. Sleep with him. Carry him to our room in the middle of the night. Travel with him.
Milk!! You LOVE milk. I swear you can drink ½ a gallon a day. As soon as we get home from school you will ask for Milk and you even have a Milky Dance.
You love cars and trucks.
You love all your riding toys and will ride them all over the house lining the up.
You love baseball and are pretty good and hitting the ball from a tee.
You love music. In the car you will say “Turn it up”. Your favorite song is Cake by the Ocean.
You love to be outside but are terrified of the blower. You get all sweaty running around playing.
You love your sister and want to be with her all the time, but sometimes it turns bad because she doesn’t want to play or you playing with her stuff.
You bug the heck out of her. She tries to hide in her room but you barge right in until we get onto you.
You love Ava and your cousin Garrett.
New things:
You hate swim lessons and would rather play.
You tell us when you have poop and run to your room waiting on us to change you.
You sit on the potty and said “I done”, but nothing happened.
You can be a mean little boy at time. You will sit on your sister or hit her.
You will even grab our face and say stuff. For example: you told your Pepaw “I said 2 hands papaw”. It was so darn cute, but a little aggressive for a 2 yr old.
We tell you a lot “we are going to spank that booty” so now you tell us and clap your hands together.
You are scared of Monkeys for whatever reason so your sister will scream “Monkeys over there” to scare you.
You try to keep up with Ava.
I swear you think you are 4. Sometimes I forget you are only 2. You are the size of a 4yr old, you wear size 4 and you can keep up with sister.

Family Day (weekend)

We had a great weekend at home just us! Ava calls Friday night, Saturday and Sunday "Family Day". It was Ryan's turn to pick for dinner. He picked Salt Grass or aka "Hooky". The kids are getting easier to take out and actually enjoy a meal as long as we keep them apart. They are getting so big and carry the conversation with us.

Saturday morning Nathan enjoyed his favorite past time lining up all his riding toys. He ride them 1 by 1 to a room and line them up. He is so darn cute!

We took the kids to see Secret Life of Pets. Its a very cute movie. Ave loved it! I think Nathan did too but feel asleep towards the end....it was close to nap time.

Camp Mimi and Gramps

While we were away the kids were spoiled at Mimi and Gramps from Thursday to Tuesday. Ava seriously didn't even want to come home. They did so much fun stuff!!! I'm so glad they enjoyed this special one-on-one time with their grandparents. We coined it "Camp Mimi and Gramps". The kids will be doing it more often. For sure.

Barton Springs - Austin

Ryan and I vacationed in Austin for his 36th birthday. We stayed at Barton Creek Spa and Resort. It was beautiful, very old with a lot charm. We got there late Friday so just enjoyed a nice birthday dinner. No rushing through dinner because of kids fitting, not listening, tired, etc. Just a nice meal, good wine and great conversation without interruptions from the kiddies. Saturday we slept in, I made Ryan go on a hike with me, laid out by the pool and again enjoyed a nice long dinner on the patio this time. Sunday we ventured into Austin for an amazing brunch and bloody mary bar. Then checked out Barton Springs. It was freezing!!! There wasn't much of a crowd, but since it was a state attraction we couldn't bring drinks in so we didn't stay too long...just long enough for me to check this off our to do list. By this time we missed the kids so stopped by the Co Op to get them UT gear. Once back at the resort it was time for Ryan's late evening golf tee time. I decided to join and take in the beautiful scenery. Then our last night we opted for room service! The weekend was awesome. We very, very much needed this get away to relax.

Astros Game

We had a date with Ava to the Astros Game. It was her 1st game so we hit up all the hot spots for pictures and treated her to plenty of junk food.
Nathan hung out with Mimi and Gramps. He met his 1st local celebrity. Scott Mr. HEB.

4th of July Celebration

We spent the day  at Mary and Chava's soaking in the sun and swimming in the pool. The kids had a blast!

Independence Race

We spent the Holiday weekend in LP. I ran in the 2nd Annual Independence Race in DP, Ryan played golf with Gabe and the kids slept in. We were all out the door by 6:45.
It was a super HOT morning and I had no intentions of pushing myself for the ran. My goal was to not stop. So it was a shocker to me that I placed 1st in my age range. There were 8 girls in my age range for 30-34.
Ava was so proud of me! She put my trophy by her soccer and basketball trophy once we got home.
