Night Time

Our night time routine has changed in the last few weeks. I’ll give Ava a bath, then she will get in our bed and watch ½ of the Lion King. The following day we will watch the last ½. So needless to say, we have watched this movie a ton!! We all singalong to the songs and Ryan even has some of the lines memorized.

Mommy and Ava Day

It sure does feel good to be home with my little girl! I missed her so much.

Girls Trip

I went on an amazing all Girls Family Trip with my mom, aunt Mary, and 2 cousins Christine & Alayna. We went to Napa and San Francisco. In 5 days and 4 nights we visited 10 wineries, a full day hitting all the tourist spots in San Francisco, a lovely Jazz bar, and ate way too well.

Ryan and Ava spent a full weekend with gramps. She was spoiled rotten!

Teddy's 8th Birtday

We decide to celebrate Teddy's birthday a day early since I'm leaving for Napa today. Ava and I bought a gourmet cupcake, party hats, noise makers, and special treats for Boudreaux and the birthday boy.
Once daddy came home from work the celebration began!! We sang happy birthday and Ava blew out the candle.

Ava really enjoyed our evening! She kept saying Happy Birthday Munst (one of Teddy's many nicknames).

Best Friends

Ava and Emma have become the best of friends. They get so excited when they see each other. This past Sunday Ava took her truck out for a spin with Emma. The girls had to much fun riding around. They are the cutest!!

Froberg's Farm

When Daddy (Ryan was playing in a golf tournament)& Mimi (had to work) are away....Gramps, Ava, and Mama will play

This was another fun activity I found and told Gramps we need to take Ava. So we were at it that very next weekend. We took Ava to Froberg's Farm to work in the fields, literally. This place is just like a Farmer's Market, but you go out in the strawberry field with a bucket and pick your strawberries. At 1st Ava was in to it then soon realized she would rather eat them and let gramps and I do all the work. She would pick a few then eat a few....and inform us which strawberries to pick. She would say, "Yook get that one", "Those are big", or "No don’t get that one, its mushy".

Big Girl Daybed

We decided to convert Ava's crib into a daybed. She was very excited to see it when she came home from daycare. She rolled around in it and pretended she was sleeping.
This evening she went down fine with no hesitation. So we shall see what the rest of the night has instore for us.
Too be continued....update: she slept in her bed the whole night!! Yay!

Easter Day 2013

What a blessed Easter!! We woke up and spent the morning with my family. Ava played in the backyard. Then we hid a few eggs for Ava to find. She was anxious to start….she sure has the hang of Easter Egg hunting down now and is pretty fast. This was her 3rd Easter Egg Hunt this week!

Villa Family Easter 2013

We had our annual Easter Party at Tia Rosie's with all my dads side of the family. I just love family time and seeing Ava spend time with all her cousins. The 1st Easter Egg Hunt is for all the 2nd generation cousins. They hunt for candy eggs and a few filled with money. Ava really enjoyed this!! Ava & Ella got a head start since they are the youngest and move slower. Ava would find an egg or two open it and eat the candy. Then move on to the next egg. The 2nd Easter Egg Hunt is for all the 1st cousins and their spouses. We hunt for 1 egg a piece. Each is filled with money ranging from $5 to the "Money Egg" which is $50. Ryan and I both found a $5 egg.
This year Ava participated in the Cascarones (aka confetti eggs). She had a blast!! At first she didn’t get what was going on, then soon realized how fun it was. She would run up to someone, squeeze her egg and pop it in front of them, then scream with excitement. She also enjoyed getting a few popped on her head.
Fun times!! I just love watching my baby have a good time. It was a fun day fillled with a lot of family, a little too much candy and a worn out little girl.
