Concan: Neal's Lodge

We wanted a taste of camping and river fun with AC and amenities so we spent 4 nights at Neal’s in Concan. We had a great time! Our neighbors came along and we took Garrett. We had high hopes of doing a lot…golf, hay ride, horseback ride,  bat watch, etc., but we found ourselves enjoying the river way too much. We spent day 1 & 2 posted up on the river and day 3 we floated the river and jumped off cliffs. Ava enjoyed the river float and thought her mom and dad were so cool jumping of the cliffs. Our evenings were spent on the patio grilling then at the Honky-Tonk where the kids had more fun than the adults. By the end of the trip Nathan started to get fussy…once back home I took him to the doctor. Poor baby developed a double ear infection.

Weekend at Home

Weekends at home are very, very rare....especially during the summer months. So it was nice to enjoy time with my little family

Happy Birthday Ryan

Ryan turned 35. We bought him a golf outfit and celebrated with “take out” from Carrabba’s. He stressed he did not want to go out to eat with Nathan. Yes – we are at that stage.

Day with Silly Grandpa

Ava skipped school Monday to spend the day with Silly Grandpa. I was shocked he was willing to keep her the entire day...and even more shocked I was okay with it.
They had a day full of fun! Ava slept in, they went for breakfast, shopping and lunch. Ava was totally in her element shopping. Ricky took her to a Western Wear store. I think whatever Ava asked for she got. She got the cutest outfit: shirt, pants, boots, and belt. I cant wait for her next riding lesson! She is going to look so darn cute. He also bought her a sleeping bag and a horse/truck-hauling trailer toy kit.
